Project Dignity’s mission is to restore dignity to the differently-abled and disadvantaged through vocation with passion.
They provide sponsored training for unemployed adults with special needs and place them with employment partners within the F&B, hospitality and retail sectors. They also hire some graduates at food court and book retail stores.
“We as a society are constantly striving to be the best in whatever we do. We always want to be triumphant. But more than often, we fail to realize and take it for granted that there is a group of people out there who cannot necessarily achieve the same. To witness Dignity Kitchen in actively seeing the abilities instead of the disabilities of a disadvantaged individual and training them to circumvent in the employment world touched team Sing Fuels’ hearts.
It was a heartwarming moment to catch the food stall vendors grow increasingly excited at taking our orders and preparing the meals for the elderly customers. We could not resist and joined them in a karaoke session and went back home with our hearts filled laughter and appreciation.
